Everyone wants to avoid business scams. But how do you tell the real companies from the fakes?
They won't post a sign saying "We will scam you".

Here are a few things to look for. Make sure the company has:

  • A physical street address - not just a P.O. box

  • A verifiable phone number

  • A real person to contact

  • A money back guarantee
     

Beware of the websites that have pictures of luxury cars, huge mansions, and a giant stack of cash. The majority of these sites have get-rich-quick schemes that will leave you disappointed and broke.

It's always a good idea to check out the business with the Better Business Bureau. Any information you get will surely help.

Finally - do all the research that you can about the business and the product. Never make a hasty decision. It's your money so don't give it away to business scams.
